  Introduction

Following a thorough evaluation process, Tyco Integrated Systems were proud to provide Runnymede Borough Council with state-of-the-art Audio and Visual presentation facilities to their new council offices.
The Chamber Conferencing system was supplied using the popular Bosch wired “Concentus” system; which was chosen on the basis of quality and value for money for the client.
Although seating within the Chamber can be arranged in a number of ways, the cabling for each position is uniquely provided via a combined flexible floor tile and box.
Digital Conferencing benefits from; integrated electronic voting, Chairman override and long stem microphones, to avoid disruption of noise when standing to speak.
Flip over speakers were installed for practicality, as they can be laid down to protect the units when not in use.
Runneymede Borough Council chose to avoid using small desktop displays for the Chairman’s bench; as a result, Tyco provided a bespoke low level screen bracket to accommodate the display, seated at the dais.
Under strict instructions of the site architect, no visual items were to be wall or ceiling mounted. In solution to this, the 65” Plasma Displays were mounted on static robust stands which are secured to the floor.
Connection points were placed along the Public Gallery, so portable repeater screens can be connected.
Additional flat panel displays were provided to Committee Room 1 and the Mayors parlour.
SMART 600i boards, using short throw projection, were installed in both the IT and general meeting rooms.
Simple, but effective, control and functioning of the Audio Visual facilities are accommodated by a Kramer push button control.
