Job Profile
Key areas of responsibilities

To provide the sales team with timely, value engineered technical quotations, drawings and bid support material to achieve quoted targets.
To design new systems and, where necessary,  the hardware and software component parts needed to meet customer requirements within all technical, legal, cost, quality and timescale constraints.
To provide sales support and technical expertise in bid preparation and to assist in presentation and negotiation of the same to the customer
To produce handover material for engineering and commissioning staff of proposed solutions
To provide demonstration and site survey at pre sales stage of enquiries and general field based support.
To keep up-to-date with new products, techniques and technologies that have application to our business and to assist the product manager in evaluation of the same
To assist in product training and new product introduction.
On site work as required Required personality characteristics 
Self-motivated & able to work with limited supervision.
A core interest in AV engineering which extends beyond 'office hours'.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Good inter-personal skills and a sense of humour.
Eager to learn and keep technically up-to-date.
Takes pride in completing tasks and contributing to successful projects.
Specific characteristics of the function 

Must have sufficient knowledge and experience of the AV market to provide realistic quotations and advice to the sales team. They will have good commercial experience and ensure that their own work meets all technical and commercial requirements (eg timescale and costs). Main work contacts

Internal / External  Reports to the Technical Sales Support Manager
Close liaison with sales team and other support/engineering staff.
High level of contact with customers. Quantitative Data

 (relevant data of area of responsibility) No direct staff.
Accuracy of technical quotes ( content & costs )
Managing own work to match technical/commercial requirements.
Keeping task list up to date and accurate
