The Mosaic Mobile RDC Performance with Flexibility
The Mosaic RDC TM can be deployed in virtually any UK location as all communication (video and telemetry) are carried on existing cellular radio data services. The RDC is simply and easily fitted to an existing pole or wall bracket and supplied with power at 230V ac.
Mobile or static users gain access to live or recorded images, and the facility to control the cameras, by making a network connection to our secure Video Service Centre. Once authorised, the selected video is streamed to the user where it can be decoded in software or presented as an analogue video signal to legacy CCTV switches and monitors. This provides a simple method to add RDCs to existing CCTV systems. Our Video Service Centre also supports interfaces via TV network protocol (TVNP) to simplify deployment of RDCs in more complex CCTV systems.
Mosaic Mobile RDC TM Features

• Real time, low latency video (<500ms)
• Video provided over existing cellular networks
• Local recording with image enhance facility
• Viewers for PC, Pocket PC and web
• Configurable frame dimensions, frame rate and output bandwidth
• Independent, battery backed alarm monitoring via GSM
• GPS location facility
• Low data rates for economical running costs
• Rugged vandal- resistant construction
• Auto focus, high resolution integrated camera/ optics
• High speed dome with accurate pre-sets and privacy zones
Mosaic Mobile RDC TM Benefits
• A choice of camera units
• Simultaneous multiple users
• Legacy CCTV interface
• High quality video at low bandwidth
• Alarm monitoring and reporting for power failure and temperature alarms
• Cellular proven – 3.5G (HSUPA), 3G, 2.5G (EDGE), 2G (GPRS) and GSM
• Optional street level download of archived video via Wi-Fi
The standard rugged dome camera (MIC1) provides outstanding optical performance with a 36:1 zoom lens, 460 TV lines resolution and excellent low light operation (0.1 lux minimum sensitivity in colour.)
The dome is capable of 360° continuous pan and 320° tilt at speeds of up to 90° per second.
Evidential quality storage is provided within the Mosaic RDC™ that allows between 1 and 25 frames per second of video to be stored. This gives a storage period of between 1.5 and 40 days. This can be reviewed over-the-air and downloaded from a laptop at street level via Wi-Fi.
  Encoder Features
The Mosaic Mobile RDC TM delivers real time, low latency video over the full range of mobile networks.
With the ability to dynamically change frame rates and sizes, the Encoder can be configured to match available bandwidth and will dynamically adjust to changes in bandwidth allocation. The encoder handles complex motion extremely well without skipping frames and without exceeding the pre-set bandwidth.
  Communication
The Mosaic Mobile RDC TM contains a data modem for access to available cellular networks. It is able to establish a data connection over the full range of data networks.

This table shows the expected video performance at different transmission bandwidths. Note that the actual bandwidth available will depend on the network coverage at the installation site.
