Electronic voting has become a popular requirement for professional conference venues, local governments and education bodies. Electronic voting is used not only to achieve accuracy and a quick response but it also encourages participation and breeds focus and attention throughout the audience.
Camera tracking automatically shows an image of the current speaker on a screen. A visual dimension not only generates interest and focuses attention, but also tells participants and observers who is speaking.
This is especially useful when setting up a video conference between sites.
A popular Electronic recording system we use is the Beyerdynamic Steno- S recording software. Recording AV can be over electronic format and stored to DVD or Hard Drive. With Hard-disc-Recording,
software packages can save every word on your computer. Decisions, remarks and questions are marked during recording.

The chairman of the meeting can manage the proceedings more effectively by selecting which individuals can speak, the order in which any number of speakers can speak, and also control other facilities such as voting and registration.

Support for the Hearing Impaired
Since October 1999, the Disability Discrimination act has become law. This act states that service providers are legally obliged to consider the disabled, and provide reasonable adjustment to ensure they are not excluded.
In our conference and congress solution, the needs of the hearing impaired can be readily accommodated. Tyco can provide a range of solutions including induction loops and system designs to meet these needs.
Voting Systems
Tyco can provide solutions to enable delegates to actively participate in meetings by voting. Delegates can register their votes using voting stations which can be integrated into their local congress station, or supplied separately.
Voting can be as straightforward as selecting a simple yes or no option, or delegates can select from a list of multiple choice options. Our systems enable almost instant access to results when combined with voting display systems.
Simultaneous Translation
For international or multi-lingual conference venues, our solutions can incorporate a simultaneous interpretation and distribution facility. Up to 15 different languages can be accommodated within the interpreter desks.
Language distribution can be delivered to the delegate stations, or to separate wireless infrared receivers, which enable the languages to be distributed throughout the conference venue to personal infra-red receivers with headsets.
