Introduction

Tyco Integrated Systems have provided Castle Point Borough Council with turn-key, professional Conferencing facilities, fully equipped with integration to a Web-casting system.

The solution integrated a system which utilises Audio conferencing amenities; using a wired, fixed seat system.

At a glance, the solution incorporated;

• 41 contemporary desktop delegate user systems
• 2 large electric projection screens
• 2 professional short throw projectors – supported using bespoke bracket work
• 41 Power points for PC connectivity; including floor containment
• Touch Panel for Chairman’s position
• Integrated Web-casting system
• System control for AV presentation facilities include; screen up/down

Users of this synchronic system require access to electrical points; in which to connect a laptop. New channels were created within the concrete floor, to accommodate the new configuration and to connect the bench work together.

A discrete two-compartment structure was installed beneath the table tops to hold Audio and electrical cabling. The enclosure and socket face plates were carefully selected to match the framework of the benches.

Precision holes were cut in the bench work to accommodate the Bosch DCN-NG Conferencing system.

Two tab-tensioned electrical screens were positioned to the left and right of the dais, accommodating the viewing angles of members and the public gallery.

Supplementary 15” high quality monitors were provided to the Chairman’s and officer’s benches. In addition, the chairman has an intuitive touch panel in which to see and select microphones.

An additional screen was provided in the control room, so operators of the web-cast can also view presentations.

The Audio within this structure was integrated using web-casting technology.

This system builds another level on to Tyco’s growing success in providing AV systems, to enhance communications within local government meetings.
